Erik A. Frandsen
Amalienborg - The Royal Palace, Copenhagen, Denmark

Erik A. Frandsen has created a series of permanent works for the Taffel Hall at Amalienborg Palace. Across the hall, five mirror-polished steel plates, each four meters high, are mounted
on the walls. The surfaces are engraved with floral bouquets using a drill – one of the artist’s signature techniques.
Frandsen has exhibited widely in Denmark and abroad – at ARoS, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Arken Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Denmark, Red Brick Art Museum (Beijing), the National Museum of Norway, Shenzhen Art Museum, the Tangen Collection, and Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. He has completed numerous public and private commissions both nationally and internationally.
