In 2015, Martin Bigum created the work A Family for Frederiksberg Municipality. The work serves as a visual marker in the local area, featuring a large white gable wall where a circle of people is depicted holding hands in the air.

Bigum has exhibited extensively in Denmark and abroad, and his works are represented in public and private collections, including ARKEN, ARoS, the National Gallery of Denmark, Malmö Konstmuseum, Bibliothèque nationale de France (Paris), Musée d’Art Moderne de la Haute-Vienne, the Marc Blondeau Collection, and private collections in Sweden, the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, the USA, and Japan.
