In 2021, Mie Olise Kjærgaard created the mural Hammerhead Shark, located on Middelgrundsvej on Amager, Copenhagen. The artist painted a large-scale work in her characteristic style.

Mie Olise Kjærgaard has exhibited widely in both the United States and Europe. Her works are held in collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH), JPMorgan Chase, Ny Carlsberg Foundation, Philara Collection in Düsseldorf, and the Ole Faarup Collection.
