Commissions

On the occasion of Bispebjerg Hospital’s 100th anniversary in 2013, the New Carlsberg Foundation donated a sculpture to the hospital. The 3.5-meter-high sculpture Lazarus by Christian Lemmerz was officially inaugurated in 2017.

Lemmerz has exhibited in Denmark at venues such as ARoS, the National Gallery of Denmark (Statens Museum for Kunst), and the Cisterns (Cisternerne), and internationally at institutions such as Stavanger Art Museum and Leo Koenig Inc., New York. He has also completed numerous commissioned projects, including for the Danish Ministry of Culture, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, and State Prison Østjylland.
